Fabulous Florence

Pro: The apartment was spotless and had everything you’d need for a trip to Florence. Excellent location just over the river away from the hustle and bustle of the main city centre. The hosts were especially helpful and friendly. We had an amazing stay we only wish we could have stayed longer!! Would definitely recommend.

Gemütliches Apartment im Oltrarno Viertel

Pro: Komfortablel und gemütlich eingerichtet, und gut beheizbar auch bei kalten Temperaturen Mitte Februar. Die kleine Küche hatte alles notwendige, auch zur Zubereitung einfacher Gerichte. Durch die Lage im 3. Stock war der Straßenverkehr zwar zu hören, aber sehr gedämpft und für uns nicht störend. Das Viertel Oltrarno fanden wir sehr angenehm, deutlich ruhiger als auf der Nordseite des Arno, jedoch mit vielen interessanten Geschäften, Restaurants und Bars. Die Gastgeber von Newtopique waren gut zu erreichen und die Schlüsselabholung völlig unproblematisch.

Contro: Im Badezimmer gibt es keinen Ablageplatz für Kosmetika, Zahnputzbecher, etc.. Man kann diese zur Not um die Ecke im Einbauschrank abstellen, aber praktisch geht anders. Tip für die Verwaltung: rechts neben dem Waschbecken wären an der Wand Platz für 1-2 kleine Kosmetikregale. Nach dem Auschecken (bis 11.00) kann das Gepäck nicht im Apartment bleiben. Es gibt jedoch Gepäckaufbewahrungsstellen und einen Gepäckservice für die Aufbewahrung bis zur Abreise.

Pro: Beautiful historical building and very comfortable rustic penthouse. The gelato place and lil store right outside made it even more convenient! There is a coffee and expressio machine with just enough pods for our stay! No sugar or condiments for morning Java.. There is a canister jar with what looks like sugar and a scoop in it but I’m so glad I tasted it first before adding to my expresso - it was salt! 😂😅

Contro: This place warrants a better mattress (should be replaced) Could feel the coils to the mattress - just took some readjusting. Paper towels, napkins or couple dish towels woulda been helpful but we made do… It’s not polished or pretentious but funky/cool and interesting. A/C was pre-set to 18 and could barely keep up with the extreme heat wave (August) but the host brought a fan which made it all do-able and comfortable.
