Pro: Very hospitable staff. Excellent breakfast. The area is cool and less touristy but still close enough to get to the centre. Close to good restaurants/wine bars.

Fabulous hotel with wonderful staff in a perfect location

Pro: The wonderful hospitality of Davide and the friendliness of all the staff were some of the key things that made our stay here so special. However, there were also many others. Our room was fantastic with a really comfortable bed, stand-alone bath and amazing views over many different parts of beautiful Florence. The breakfast (and the service) was excellent. The location of the hotel is perfect - very close to the river and all the tourist sites but in a vibrant more local area with great bars, restaurants, artisanal shops and gelato! Despite being so central we found our room extremely quiet at night. Would definitely stay here again.

Pro: Would absolutely recommend to absolutely anyone, the staff were great to communicate with. This is the only hotel I have stayed in where my expectations have been fully surpassed!

Pro: The location was excellent - the centre of Florence is very touristy and staying in Santo Spirito was great as there is a much more local feel to the area and great bars/restaurants and still only a short walk into the centre. The hotel was very secure. The breakfast and coffee were excellent and the staff were absolutely delightful and very helpful to us on restaurant and activity recommendations, arranging reservations for us at short notice (thank you Alberto!). The basics (bed, shower etc.) were all great and very comfy, and the room was spacious and well-decorated. I'd definitely recommend.

Contro: The room was a little noisy - this wouldn't apply to every room, but we were very close to the breakfast area and when preparation started we could hear that (which would bother you if you wanted a lie in, but wasn't a major issue for us). We were also disrupted by some street noise at early hours but this is outside of the hotel's control. They were very accommodating when we shared this feedback. A very small note that the wifi wasn't fantastic so if you needed to make a lot of calls/do work, that would be an issue but wasn't for us.

Pro: Unique style of the rooms it feels more like Tuscan home than a hotel chain but with the convenience of excellent hospitality. Rustic interiors yet modern bathroom fittings and bed quality was excellent particularly the large size

Contro: There was no full length mirror in the room for dressing, there was space in the wardrobe area for one which would have been useful, and no option for room service but actually the pizzeria across the road beats any tray charge hotel late night dinner.

Contro: I didn’t realise the sink would be in the main room and I would prefer it to be separate. However, it was all still lovely. I would stay again but would look for a room with a completely separate bathroom.

Pro: The rooms and general facilities of the hotel are comfortable and welcoming. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is great -- away from the crowds but a bridge away from central Florence.

Pro: The b&b is located right the heart of Santa Spirito neighbourhood. This neighbourhood is cool and authentic, far away from the tourist traps, but still walking distance to all the sights. Along the cobbled and narrow streets of Santa Spirito, you'll find lots of independent, artisan shops and trendy restaurants/bars. The bustling Santa Spirito Piazza is a few minutes walk away and is the epicentre of nightlife in the area. A special shoutout to Alberto who was extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. He made me feel comfortable and right at home during my stay at Oltrarno Splendid.

Great place to stay. Very quiet friendly clean and comfortable accommodation. Close to everything.

Pro: Very quiet room with all the comforts. Very comfy bed and separate shower room from toilet and sink. Good curtains for keeping the room dark and lots of room to move. Excellent room all round.

Contro: Nothing as it was all good.
