A Beautiful Hotel With Exceptional Staff in Florence

Pro: The hotel was beautiful and the staff was exceptional. The Cosimo Rooftop Restaurant staff were amazing and the dinner was absolutely top notch.

Contro: The selection at breakfast at the Sala Caminetto was somewhat limited. A wider selection for breakfast would have pushed our stay over the top and is a relatively easy fix for the Hotel.

The welcome was exceptional, especially from Eva who made us feel at ease after a long journey.

Pro: Eva was a stand out member of staff. There was confusion with the method of payment for the accommodation, which Eva dealt with professionally and to whom we owe gratitude. She was always very helpful and friendly. Nico the concierge was also extremely helpful and booked tickets for us to visit museums and galleries. Breakfast was lovely with a selection of various options. Both cold and hot foods available.

Contro: Nothing really. It was all very enjoyable.

Staff very helpful, helped us plan a trip to Sienna etc. Roof Garden perfect for lunch or drinks.

Pro: The Westin Excelsior is simply the perfect hotel in Florence. The location and service are impeccable. It is an impressive and historic building, beautifully maintained and in spot condition. Beds are so comfortable and sheets are soft. Breakfast includes all the choices you would expect for such a hotel.

Contro: We should have stayed longer, 3 nights was not enough.

We had a very pleasant stay in a well positioned hotel

Pro: Top quality hotel, nice rooms and overall appearance of the hotel interior was very good. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

Contro: The room rate. It was very expensive! I think it was probably in line with other hotels in Florence but £800 per night is way too much.

Great hotel, lousy service

Pro: Service at the 5th floor was bad. I waited 10 minutes for a waiter and only could get one after I intervened Twice. Thx were clearly overwhelmed and slow. Very disappointed.

Contro: Service generally not what I expected except Front desk.
