Pro: Posizione centrale ma lontana dai grandi flussi turistici. Ambiente curato e ricercato

Contro: Il bagno è un po’ piccolo, ma caratteristico

Pro: Bella struttura, posizione ottima se non fosse per una salita abbastanza ripida per raggiungerla.

Contro: L'umidità in struttura è molto presente.

Wonderful, unforgettable

Pro: We had a wonderful time here, this property is one of our all time favourites. The apartment is charming, has all you need for cooking, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is clean and modern. The owner was very kind, and had many lovely recommendations for food and things to see in Florence. The apartment also stays cool very well since the walls are stone, which is very nice when it gets warm. This was an unforgettable stay for us!

A Cozy Studio in a Historic Building

Pro: The studio is new, stylish, and tastefully arranged within a historic building. The Porta San Giorgio is a medieval gateway on the southeastern edge of the Oltrarno walls. In 1529, during the siege of Florence, it was sealed by Michelangelo to protect it from cannon fire. The studio itself is located inside this gateway, with an entrance leading to a charming little street. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Reaching the studio requires a walk up a fairly steep hill, so if you enjoy walking, this place is perfect for you. Just nearby, there are two excellent museums with gardens well worth visiting. The surrounding area is peaceful, with green gardens and birdsong, and very few cars pass through the gate. The studio includes a well-equipped kitchen with a refrigerator and stove — perfect for preparing breakfast in the morning. That said, we truly enjoyed our stay in this studio, brought home wonderful memories, and we will definitely return again!

Contro: Of course, staying in an old, historic building comes with its challenges. The room has limited natural light, and you can hear people walking in the apartment above. The shower may be a bit tight, especially if you’re larger-built. It might also be worth providing more comfortable pillows.

Pro: A very cute place in a nice and quiet area of Florence close to many parks and gardens and monuments.

Contro: Don’t try to come here by car.

Pro: I was received by Jacopo, who is very friendly and provided helpful advice and instructions. A very thorough guide for visitors is provided, which is a nice touch, with an extensive list of restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. Jacopo also helped me book a taxi for checkout, which I appreciate. The location right at the Porta San Giorgio is a bit unreal.

Contro: Not that I didn't like it, but the location is a bit of a hike, it´s about 500m of uphill walk from Santa Maria Soprarno, so just keep that in mind.

Zentral und doch ruhig

Pro: Ruhige Lage, dennoch nicht weit vom Zentrum. Sehr gemütliche Unterkunft wenn man dem Trubel der Stadt entfliehen möchte und keine Höhenmeter scheut

Contro: Parkplatzsuche ist nicht einfach gewesen.

A spot we would return to as it feels authentically Italian in a lovely area.

Pro: Authentic, quiet and beautiful location. This is a cute little ground level apartment inside an old stone wall. Fort Belvedere is only steps away with an outdoor area that overlooks the city of Florence. You can walk into town to see all the sights keeping in mind it’s a climb back up the hill! The bed was very comfortable and the night was quiet. Our host was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area with great recommendations for sights and food. Thank you.

Pro: El apartamento está nuevo, bien cuidado y limpio. Estuvimos muy a gusto.

Contro: Por poner alguna pega, la ventana de la habitación no la podíamos cerrar y entraban mosquitos. La cuesta para llegar es bastante pronunciada.

Studio junto a Jardines de Boboli

Pro: La ubicación a solo 12-13 min caminando del Puente Vecchio...aunque eso sí, con una buena cuesta a diario🫢😂😂

Contro: El baño y la ducha poco espaciosa!
