Vanna's House grazie !!

Pro: Pulitissimo ed accogliente all' arrivo Angolo cottura completo di tutto,forno e lavastoviglie compresi,camera da letto comoda e ampia,il tutto perfettamente riscaldato..Balcone semi chiuso,ottimo x chi come me è fumatore!! Posta in una posizione veramente ottimale,a pochi minuti a piedi da Palazzo Pitti e Ponte vecchio,ma fuori dalla zona ZTL,quindi con la possibilità di spostarsi in auto x gite fuori Firenze. Staff veramente cordiale e molto disponibile ad ogni richiesta. Ottima esperienza!!

Pro: Casetta meravigliosa piena di confort e ad un passo da tutto sicuramente ritornerò.

Great stay- shame about the management

Pro: This is an excellent apartment with large rooms- a little distant from the main tourist sights but handy for the bus to Siena/ San Gimignano The apartment is very nice, large rooms and a small enclosed terrace. A table or suitcase stand in the very large bedroom would be an obvious improvement… I think the owner has a great place- but poor selection of manager!

Contro: Registration and entry a disaster: Manager sent link requiring us to send details via a link to “Vikey”…. This brought me to a page requiring me to fill in passport details for each of us, then send a photo of the front of my passport, then the back of my passport (???!!), then me holding the passport. Then the same for my wife… Then then charged 6 euros per day for each of us which was fine but then moved to another registration page which just hung on us… At this stage (and after an hour of exasperation trying to fill in their forms), we would have happily cancelled and just gone somewhere else, but of course the money had already been taken…. Arriving was nothing short of bizarre- after multiple questions 2 evenings prior, I had eventually received a video of how to get in plus the all important keylock passcode…. Video showed the street door as open, but when we got there, it was locked. Contacted the managers who said they would come and meet us…. No one came but after a couple of minutes the door clicked and we found it could now open- so presumably that is hooked up remotely? The video to get in was otherwise fine (fortunately we had downloaded it- no phone reception in the building).. Washing machine plug did not fit the wall plug; found an adaptor at floor level behind the fridge and used this…. Could not find the WiFi details in the long WhatsApp conversation but then found it in an email (fortunately I can read that much Italian). “Vikey” seem to be rather a disfunctional setup- after making the registration so difficult they sent (in Italian) an email offering their ‘guida personalizata’….highly aspirational! Pleased to have nothing further to do with them.

Great spot and value for the money, I’d stay there again!

Pro: Great location, clean and spacious. AC in the bedroom was a bonus although it wasn’t that hot at the time I was visiting. Host was very responsive and helpful! Apartment was very easy accessible with a taxi- I got dropped off right out front which made it easy with my luggage.

Contro: WiFi was very spotty but it didn’t bother me as I wasn’t spending that much time inside. I wish the bedroom had a little more natural light but again- I was mostly outside walking and exploring.
