Beautiful view over Florence, not that easy to get to later on at night without getting a taxi.

Pro: Great staff and a lovely breakfast. A really stunning entrance hall ceiling and a beautiful building with incredible views over Florence. Very peaceful and I imagin the pool and gardens in summer would be lovely. Nice and warm in room for an older building.

Contro: bathroom not 100% clean, no shower but shower head over bath water went everywhere. A bit of shame the hotel was nearly empty but out in a room without a proper window and more expensive than the other hotel I stayed in the night before.

Stunning location - beautiful building.

Pro: The location of this hotel is quite simply stupendous. It has the most amazing view overlooking Florence. There is a lovely path down to town through olive groves - about half an hour's walk to the Pitti Palace. The building is also spectacular - stunning ceilings and lovely loggia. Charming staff - very low key. Breakfast is fine - v much help yourself.

Contro: It would have been nice to be able to make a cup of tea/coffee in the room. The soaps etc were v basic and my bubble bath was removed so I had none for the second night! However I don't really care about all these very minor points as it is the most stunning hotel.
